Art Of the State: Pennsylvania 2008 is recognized as the official,
statewide, juried competition for Pennsylvania artists. The finest current
works of established and emerging artists are selected by a
distinguished panel of jurors, Most pieces are available for purchase.

This year’s exhibition, celebrating 40 years, runs from June 9th-September 9^th. The exhibition is free to the public.

The Greater Harrisburg Arts Council

co-produces this event with the State Museum of Pennsylvania. Artists

receive over $6,500.00 in prize money with an additional purchase award of $1000.00. Categories of submission are Painting, Works on Paper, Sculpture, Photography and Crafts. Artist Applications for the 2008 exhibition are available on January 5, 2008 with a deadline of March 21, 2008.
