Art of the State: Pennsylvania is recognized as the official, statewide, juried competition for Pennsylvania artists. The finest current works of established and emerging artists are selected by a distinguished panel of jurors, Most pieces are available for purchase.

This year’s exhibition, celebrating 45 years, runs from June 16th-September 9th, 2012.

The Greater Harrisburg Arts Council
co-produces this event with the State Museum of Pennsylvania. Artists

receive over $7,000.00 in prize money with an additional purchase award up to $2000.00. Categories of submission are Painting, Works on Paper, Sculpture, Photography and Crafts. Artist Applications for the 2012 exhibition will be available December 1, 2011 with a deadline of February 29, 2012.
