Harrisburg’s Kipona
Festival hosts an exciting weekend of activities for the whole
family annual over Labor Day weekend, Harrisburg’s Kipona
Festival celebration has been named one of the top five
festivals in Pennsylvania.
Kipona, an American
Indian name, translates into Sparkling Waters… which is
a perfect name as it it held on

the beautiful banks of the
Susquehanna River in Downtown Harrisburg’s Riverfront Park.
The Kipona Celebration features a variety of food, children’s
theatres, educational activities, a juried fine art and craft
festival, boat races, sporting events, concerts, and other
family activities. Kipona is one of the oldest waterfront
festivals in the United States and features the largest
fireworks display in Pennsylvania over Labor Day weekend.
Please join us for
PSECU Kipona Artfest which is held at the southern end of
Riverfont Park from Market to Vine Streets. It spans from
Downtown Harrisburg to quaint Shipoke, a gorgeous upscale
residential community. The 2008 PSECU Kipona Artfest will
feature 150 of the best artists in the United States during
the citywide Kipona celebration…. So mark your calendars for
Labor Day weekend and join in the largest Harrisburg downtown
